The Paestum national horse riding competition has resumed an old tradition from the late decades of the last century. These competitions used to take place in Campo di Marte, Salerno. The competition actually was aimed to select the competitors due to play in the international games which would take place in Rome. All the most famous knights and horseriders would join in and take part. The Paestum national horse riding competition represents a high equestrian momentum and can boast the presence of the most famous field directors such as Mr Marcello Mastronardi, Raimondo d'Inzeo and Giovanni Bussu, as well as the most famous Italian Knights.
