The transparent waters of Calore river flow in one of the loveliest town in Cilento area: Felitto. This town is very famous for the locally produced “fusillo” pasta, looks like a rocky spur, and is known also for its lovely woods and hills. You can go swimming in the Calore river in this territory, which also hosts the river’s queen: the otter. The superb Calore caves can be crossed through a multi channel path. You can for instance start from the medieval bridge in Magliano, or along the riversides in Remolino. Pietra Tetta’s natural bridge is also very interesting, along which you can see old mills and farm houses. Further along there’s a breathtaking view. In the most narrow points of the caves, the stream can form whirlpools among stones named “marmitta”, converters. There are more than 370 different species of flowers and plants, and huge green grasses. Farnita natural park is particularly remarkable. Also very special birds and animals can be seen here, such as hawks and eagles.
