The first Horse Jumping National Competition started in 1987. The main goal was to bring back the tradition of competitions that started in the sixties in Campo di Marte in Salerno.
The best horses specimen were singled out for the Piazza di Siena International Horse Competition held in Rome, in which the most famous knights and horsewomen participated.
The Paestum Horse Jumping Competition represents a high equestrian moment and boasts the presence of the most illustrious field directors among which, Marcello Mastronardi, Raimondo D’Inzeo, Giovanni Bussu, and the most important italian knights are present. .
